Before & After: Antique Dresser

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I had spent part of my weekend working on this little beauty!

This was my Great Grandmother's dresser.  I've had it for many years & when I was younger my grandpa had it painted pink for me - as you can see above.

A couple of years ago, I started sanding this bad boy (or girl) down... & never finished it.  HA!   As you can tell, I didn't get very far.

So after 2+ years of looking at this partially sanded, pink dresser I was ready to finish it!

We (Matt & I) sanded & sanded & sanded...

We painted it Heirloom White & I polished the original hardware... & This is the final product

I am so happy to finally have a finished dresser & it look complete!

What do you think?
Have you gotten into any DiY projects lately?

XOXO,
      Shayna

  1. I loved how it turned out. DIY tasks are harder than it looks. I have been doing a desk and chair oh my I didn't realize how much work it was. I love the new improved dresser.

  5. I love it! I have an old dresser that was my GREAT grandma's that I need to refinish. It's just sitting in my basement, so who knows how long it will sit there until it's done! Maybe you should come help me ;)
