Thoughts for Thursday

Hi y'all!  I'm venturing out & trying something new today - I hope y'all enjoy!

Thoughts for Thursday
Linking up with Annie & Lindsay today!

+ My birthday is coming up soon & my family keeps asking for my wish list. Every year I say I'm going to be better about this but, truth is I'm the worst at putting a wish list together for myself. I'm not a huge shopper so there's not necessarily something I've been drooling over & most things are clothes related - which leaves my gift givers stuck, my husband, dad & brother - all men! Lol!
What are items you put on your wish list?

+ Speaking of husbands... What I had planned for Monday night's dinner didn't work out because I had used all of the chicken broth for dinner the night before.  So, I offered to make chicken & dumplings.  Do y'all know what He said!?!?  He said he was a little burnt out on chicken & dumplings!!!  I about had a mild heart attack!!  Let's be for real here... Who get's tired of chicken & dumplings!?!?

+ Nights of no TV & limited phone action make for some awesomely productive evenings!  We did this last night & got our whole office almost completely re-organized (which is on my goal list!) & it feels SO good!

+ I had started decorating our office (which Matt & I share) a little while back but, now that we've rearranged I feel like I need/want to start all over.  HA!  I'm sure Matt will love this idea!  I'm going to wait a little bit though & make sure I go in a direction that will work for both of us & for a long time to come.

+ This last weekend I finally got my Fall front porch together!  (I'm sure I'll be ready to decorate for Christmas any day now!)  But, in the mean time, I am loving coming home to this festive little stoop each afternoon!  {Close up of the wreath here}

+ And, I'll leave y'all with this quote that was in an e-mail I received the other day... Such a good reminder!

"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation" - Brian Tracy
