4th of a July Weekend!

Ahh.. Back to life, back to reality!  It's good to be home, in our own beds, back to the daily grind but, we had so much fun this weekend at the lake!  We left early Friday morning & headed west to Possum Kingdom Lake to a friends family lake cabin & spent the weekend!  There is no cell service out there so, if you must make a call you gotta use the land line!  I'll be honest, it was really nice to disconnect... & reconnect with friends we don't get to see very often!

On Friday Jack had his first boat ride & absolutely loved it!!  He even took a little siesta while cruising around!  We can't wait to take him again!

Enjoying the boat with Uncle Brady!

On Saturday we made our way down to the water & floated around... You know, being lake rats!  Matt rigged the solid bottomed float with the canopy from Jack's other float & made the perfect combo!  Jack had the biggest smile on his face while floating around & again... Took a little siesta while out on the water! It had to me the sweetest thing ever!  This boy is a water baby for sure & it makes his daddy & I so happy!!

Jack's first outfit for the 4th!  Lasted all of a couple hours maybe! Ha!

Yes, real men wear pink life jackets!

Saturday evening we went to dinner on the lake while the rest of our group went to Hell's Gate via boat & watched the fireworks!  After dinner we had a great view of fireworks from the cabin so it was nice to just sit back, relax & enjoy the fireworks!

I don't think our first 4th of July as a family of three could have been any better!  Jack truly was the happiest baby all weekend long which made it easier to relax & enjoy our time with friends!  Since He was the only baby this year He was doted on pretty heavily by two of his aunts... I'm pretty sure the baby was in heaven! Ha!  But I am so thankful for friends who love our boy so much!!

Hope you had just as fun & relaxing of a 4th!!
